"Inspiring Hope and Making an Impact"

PURPOSE
OUR VISION
RESTORING HOPE MINISTRIES, INC, vision is to fill a gap into which ex-offenders often fall when they are released from prison and help to restore them to being happy and productive members of the community. Our vision is to provide services to consistently build up this population, which is presently underserved.
POPULATION SERVED
RESTORING HOPE MINISTRIES, INC for Prisoners will initially serve women who come from federal and state correctional facilities, local jails and rehabilitation centers, as well as those who are currently participating in specialty court programs in the State of Alaska. Once we have surpassed the initial development phases of our program and have the capacity (i.e staff, funding, and location) we will expand to include men and young adults.
RESTORING HOPE MINISTRIES is a faith-based organization committed to helping prisoners and ex-offenders successfully reenter the workforce, their families and our community. Our focus is to assist in finding housing, support, counseling and spiritual guidance to women and young adults as they transition from prison. By assisting those fighting for second chances, we strive to serve, build and strengthen our community.
OUR METHOD
Each year, thousands of women, and young adults are released into the community from our judicial system. Many of them lack the basic skill set and necessary know-how to become productive members of society. Many of them truly want to be productive members, but lack the insight into what that productivity looks like.
With great success, RESTORING HOPE MINISTRIES, INC. provides comprehensive solutions to many of these unmet needs. Our mentoring program is one of the key components to our success. During this program, we commit to come alongside these individuals and assist them in navigating the challenges they might face during the reintegration process. In doing so, we help to create positive reference points for them where reference points may have never existed.
